About the brand

Indicode is a German fashion brand that focuses on making quality menswear at attractive prices. Indicode has quickly become one of Europe's largest menswear brands. Growbix has been part of Indicode's journey since July 2021, where we have been responsible for the E-commerce strategy, Paid Social, Email marketing, Google Ads and content production.

Background for collaboration

Indicode is an established player in retail and online marketplaces, but was looking for a partner to help them start selling from their own channel in the form of a webshop. One of the key points of this collaboration was to build a loyal customer list via email marketing, which had to be established from 0. 

Since Indicode's webshop is built in Shopify, we recommended that Indicode build their email marketing in Klaviyo, as the integration between Shopify and Klaviyo is one of the strongest on the market if you want to work with conversion-focused email marketing.

The work

Indicode's successful email marketing approach was developed in the following phases:

  • Initial analysis and strategy. 
  • Set up data integration. 
  • Design setup of emails. 
  • Set up flows and campaign emails. 
  • Lead generation. 
  • Continuous analysis and optimization.

Initial analysis and strategy

Although Indicode is an established company, it was a start-up case on B2C email marketing, which meant that the initial analysis was limited to a market analysis of the menswear industry. Therefore, we developed a launch strategy with a test-first approach to set up flows and then collect leads. In addition, key KPIs were identified to assess the success of the strategy.

Set up

Once the strategy was set, it was time to set up the data integration between Shopify and Klaviyo. Next, the email marketing design had to be set up from Growbix's best-practice design for growth, and finally, the flows and campaign structure had to be set up.

Lead generation

Since email list size was scarce, lead generation was essential to success for Indicode, with Growbix providing lead generation onsite and via leadads on Meta. 

Continuous analysis and optimization

We analyze the results of our efforts in the strategy through our own analytics dashboard and compare it to the KPIs and Indicode's objectives. Based on our learnings, we adjusted the strategy and created an execution plan. Then we executed based on the analysis.

Both the analysis and optimizations were an ongoing process where Indicode was able to scale its revenue, bottom line and achieve its goals through email marketing.
